Zeolite

36

Zeolite is a volcanic substance which is completely derived from natural sources. The major elements in zeolite are Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) and Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3).

In aquaculture, Zeolite is used to absorb ammonium and ammonia gas to reduce the conversion of the nitrogen to nitrates and nitrites that cause water pollution. It is also used as fertilizer, in animal feed as toxin binder, as an agent to control odor from waterbody, and even used directly as animal feed.
