DAE & National AgriCare jointly organized six workshops on "Safe Food Production by Using Safe Pesticides" across the country

Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) in association with National AgriCare has organized six workshops on "Safe Food Production Using Safe Pesticides" at Rangpur, Bogura, Jashore, Chattogram, Khulna & Dhaka under DAE's 14 regions across the country. The aim of the programme is to raise awareness of safe pesticides with slightly/less hazardous pesticides among DAE field level officials in order to make the food safe from farm to plate through applying Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). The workshop is intended to help better understand about the importance of WDG (Water Dispersible Granules) formulated pesticides and its role in safe food production in Bangladesh. DAE officials from region, district and upazilla levels were participated in these workshops.
In these day-long workshops, Kbd. Mir Nurul Alam, Director General of DAE, Khamarbari, Dhaka was present as a chief guest. Kbd. Dr. Md. Abdul Muyeed, Director of Field Services Wing, DAE, Dhaka; Kbd. Chandi Das Kundu, Director of Plant Protection Wing, DAE, Dhaka, and Kbd. KSM Mostafizur Rahman, Managing Director of National AgriCare Group were present in these workshop as special guests. The workshops were chaired by Additional Director of the concerned host DAE region.
